Evidence-Based Parent Coaching for Everyday Routines
Next Steps Developmental Consulting
Because the most meaningful learning happens in the moments you're already sharing.
Supporting children 4 months to 5 years with autism, developmental delays, or emerging communication differences through individualized, family-centered coaching rooted in the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM).
At Next Steps Developmental Consulting, we help parents confidently support their child's development by weaving evidence-based strategies into everyday life. Through personalized coaching, you'll learn how to turn the moments you're already sharing into opportunities to build communication, social connection, play skills, independence, and confidence—without adding more to your day.
Supporting your child's development can feel overwhelming, especially when you're unsure where to start. At Next Steps, we provide compassionate, individualized coaching that helps you feel confident supporting your child's growth in ways that feel natural, practical, and achievable. We don't ask you to carve out extra hours for therapy or add more to your already busy schedule.
Why Next Steps?
You don't have to figure it out alone.
Instead, we help you transform the moments you're already sharing with your child into opportunities for learning and connection. Breakfast becomes a chance to build communication. Bath time becomes an opportunity for social engagement. Reading books becomes a way to strengthen language. Small moments, repeated every day, create meaningful progress over time.
What is the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM)?
The Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) is one of the world's leading evidence-based early intervention approaches for infants and young children with autism and other developmental delays. Developed by Dr. Sally Rogers and Dr. Geraldine Dawson, ESDM blends developmental science with the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) into a naturalistic, play-based, relationship-focused approach.
Rather than relying on structured therapy sessions alone, ESDM recognizes that young children learn best through meaningful interactions with the people they spend the most time with.
At Next Steps Developmental Consulting, we coach parents to use ESDM strategies within the flow of everyday life. Whether you're playing together, reading books, getting dressed, eating meals, running errands, or winding down for bed, these shared moments become opportunities to support communication, social engagement, emotional regulation, learning, and independence.
The goal is to help families feel confident supporting their child's unique development in ways that are practical, enjoyable, and sustainable.
Every Milestone Matters
Every smile. Every sound. Every gesture. Every shared moment.
These aren't just milestones—they're opportunities.
When you know how to respond, everyday interactions become powerful opportunities to strengthen communication, connection, and learning.
Because lasting progress isn't built in one therapy session each week. It's built through the moments you share every single day.
